THE PROBLEM

Is this your IT reality?

Shipping and logistics operations run on uptime. When connectivity drops, warehouse systems go down, or mobile devices fail, freight stops moving and costs mount immediately. Most logistics businesses have grown their IT organically, adding systems and devices as operations expanded, without the underlying infrastructure to support it. Multi-site environments without consistent IT management, unmanaged handhelds and scanners, and no formal cybersecurity controls create significant operational and financial risk. Logistics is a growing target for ransomware precisely because the pressure to recover quickly is enormous.

THE SHIFT

From operational risk to always-on reliability.

Connectivity outages disrupting freight movementMonitored, redundant connectivity with fast failover
Warehouse systems without dedicated IT supportManaged infrastructure supporting WMS and depot systems
Unmanaged handhelds and scanners across the depotAll mobile devices enrolled, tracked, and manageable remotely
Multiple sites with inconsistent ITUnified management across all depots and offices
No cyber resilience for operational systemsDetection, tested backups, documented incident response

THE OUTCOME

What this looks like after 12 months.

After 12 months with Mino IT, Brisbane logistics businesses have monitored, consistent IT infrastructure across all sites, with connectivity protected, warehouse and depot systems supported, all mobile devices enrolled and manageable, and a cyber resilience plan in place so a ransomware attack doesn't halt operations.

  • Monitored network connectivity across all depots and offices with fast-response SLAs.
  • Warehouse and TMS/WMS infrastructure managed and supported with vendor coordination.
  • All mobile devices, scanners, and handhelds enrolled in device management, trackable and remotely wipeable.
  • Consistent IT policies and security controls applied across every site.
  • Tested backup and incident response plan so operations have a defined recovery path.
  • IT lifecycle planning aligned to operational growth and fleet expansion.

SMB1001 Gold Certification Badge

SMB1001 Gold Certified

SMB1001 is a multi-tiered cybersecurity certification standard for small and medium businesses, published by Dynamic Standards International (DSI) and certified in Australia by CyberCert. Mino IT holds Gold certification, the tier insurers and procurement panels look for. Gold is a self-assessed tier: we certify our compliance against the SMB1001 controls covering identity management, access controls, data protection, incident response, and supply chain security.

For your business, choosing a Gold-certified provider means your IT partner has documented and certified its own security posture, not just promised it. It's a clear signal that we hold ourselves to the same standard we set for our clients.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common questions answered.

We manage connectivity, devices, and security across all your locations under a single service agreement. Each site gets consistent network monitoring, endpoint management, and support. Issues are resolved remotely where possible, with on-site attendance available across Brisbane and South East Queensland when needed. Our monitoring platform gives visibility across the full environment so we see issues before they affect operations.

Yes. We work alongside your WMS, TMS, and fleet management software vendors as your IT infrastructure partner. We manage the underlying infrastructure (servers, network, endpoints, and connectivity) that your operational systems depend on, and coordinate with specialist software vendors when integration or escalation is needed. We document your full environment to ensure consistent support.

We enrol all mobile devices, including ruggedised handhelds, barcode scanners, and tablets, into a mobile device management (MDM) platform. This allows us to enforce security policies, push software and configuration updates remotely, track device location, and remotely wipe lost or stolen devices without staff needing to return to the office. This is particularly valuable in logistics environments where devices move between sites and staff.

Logistics businesses are targeted because operational downtime is immediately costly, which creates enormous pressure to pay ransom and recover quickly. Many have complex, interdependent systems (warehouse, fleet, customs, finance) that are difficult to restore quickly without preparation. The Australian Cyber Security Centre has identified logistics as a high-risk sector. We protect businesses with managed detection and response, tested offsite backups, and a documented incident response plan built for operational environments.

Most businesses are onboarded within two to four weeks. The process includes a full environment audit across all sites, connectivity assessment, device enrolment, security baselining, and documentation build-out. We manage the transition to minimise disruption to active freight and warehouse operations.
