SMB1001 is the cybersecurity certification standard for Australian SMBs, published by Dynamic Standards International (DSI) and a recognised pathway toward ISO 27001. It has five tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond), with Gold the tier most widely pursued by growth-stage businesses. Mino IT holds Gold certification and guides clients through their own certification.
For most businesses, 3–6 months from gap assessment to certified. Timeline depends on your existing security posture and how quickly remediations can be implemented.
SMB1001 Gold maps closely to ISO 27001 requirements. Clients who complete Gold certification have a strong foundation and typically require 6–12 months of additional work to reach ISO 27001.
